Residence Populonia

Populonia is a village of Etruscan origin in antiquity was one of the most important centers for processing and trade of iron. Situated on a hilltop overlooking the sea, with its imposing fortress, full of charm and appeal and, together with the wall, are testimony of the pirate, served to defend it from attacks by enemies, their construction can be traced back about the first half of the fifteenth century. In its small historic center, characterized by cobbled streets, there are shops with typical products and a private museum of Etruscan artifacts found nearby. A beautiful scenic road connects to Populonia Baratti and its gulf. A few miles away is the archaeological park, which covers about 80 acres, accessible through a network of trails built and full of Etruscan necropolis and, in an intact and thriving.
